Our company has paid tribute to three employees who have demonstrated outstanding loyalty and commitment to the company over many years. Clare Speller (Warehouse) / Vivien Braganza (Customer Services) / Margaret Meyer (Customer Services) - pictured in the photo - are all celebrating 20 years service with Fortuna during this summer period having joined the company back in 2006.
Fortuna Healthcare supported our partner charity Nightingale Cancer Support Centre once again this year at their hugely popular annual charity fundraising Night Hike event involving around a thousand residents who take part in designated 5K/10K15K walking routes around the London Borough of Enfield in order to raise funds for local people diagnosed with cancer and their families. Fortuna Healthcare's support for the event this year included sponsoring a number of its staff to take part as walkers and marshals whilst also providing medical sundry items for goody bags handed out to participants. Our company was pleased to have been one of only a select number of key suppliers to have been invited to take part at the Northern Ireland Pharmacy Show in January. This newly established trade event was held at the Crowne Plaza in Belfast and it provided us with the opportunity to demonstrate our company's commitment to the pharmacy sector in Northern Ireland, a territory successfully managed by our Area Sales Manager Roy McWhinney. Our company’s 30th Anniversary Charity Dinner Dance was held on Saturday 25th October at the Radisson Blu London Stansted - a very special event that was enjoyed by around 250 guests and consisted of a Prosecco reception and full three course meal with live entertainment provided by the choir MumSing and singer Max Curto. A special presentation was made on the evening to our sales representatives Michael Ta (London) and Aroof Bashir (Yorkshire) in recognition of their longstanding service to the company of 27 and 23 years respectively whilst the grand sum of £10,000 was raised as a one-off donation to our longstanding charity partner One Kind Act.
The company recently recognised the contribution made by warehouse employee Ujagar Singh Raud, Stock Controller, who celebrated 20 years with Fortuna during October - see photo. A special gift was presented to Ujagar to thank him for his outstanding service to the company.

Three members of the Fortuna team spent two days away from their normal working duties this month in order to support a request from Southbury Primary School in Enfield for painting and decorating on the school premises.
A group of Fortuna employees and their families took part in the annual Nightingale Night Hike, a cherished event in which over a thousand residents walk through the streets of Enfield in order to raise important funds for the Nightingale Cancer Support Centre in aid of local people diagnosed with cancer as well as their families. Fortuna continued its longstanding partnership with West Lea School in Edmonton, North London by arranging supported internships with selected students during the summer term.
We are pleased to confirm that £1,155 was raised by the company and staff by way of the JustGiving page set up in memory of the late Jackie Hedger, much loved former colleague who passed away in early July and who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The funds raised were donated to the charity Macmillan Cancer Support as requested by Jackie herself and her family.
