We are pleased to confirm that £1,155 was raised by the company and staff by way of the JustGiving page set up in memory of the late Jackie Hedger, much loved former colleague who passed away in early July and who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The funds raised were donated to the charity Macmillan Cancer Support as requested by Jackie herself and her family.
Our company remains committed to supporting the efforts of hard-working young people involved in amateur grassroots sport and as such has renewed its sponsorship of an ambitious London based basketball team by the name of Bayanihan Elite Basketball Club whose mostly Filipino team members are inspired by the work of their mentor Urbe Domalaon. The team has recently been selected to play in an international youth tournament in Milan in September 2026 so we wish them every success at this prestigious event.
Our company is active in supporting a number of local schools every summer by offering work experience placements to students of all ages who take part in various office-based activities in order to experience the workplace for the first time.Pictured l-r are Rohan Shah and Oskar Augustin, Year 11 students at Dame Alice Owen's School in Potters Bar, who have just spent a week in our Customer Services and Sales & Marketing Departments respectively.
Our company has paid tribute to three employees who have demonstrated outstanding loyalty and commitment to the company over many years. Clare Speller (Warehouse) / Vivien Braganza (Customer Services) / Margaret Meyer (Customer Services) - pictured in the photo - are all celebrating 20 years service with Fortuna during this summer period having joined the company back in 2006.
